Monte Carlo Yachts President Visiting for ASMEX 2017

The organisers of the ASMEX 2017 conference have announced details of keynote speakers and special guests for the conference, due to be held the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort in the lead up to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) in May.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Carla Demaria, president of Monte Carlo Yachts.
  • Kevin Merrigan, CEO of Northrop & Johnson and president of the Fort Lauderdale, San Diego and France offices.
  • Farouk Nefzi, Feadship’s marketing and brand director.
  • Erwin Bamps, CEO of Gulf Craft.
  • Martin Baum, son of company founder and managing director of the Pantaenius Group, a major sponsor of ASMEX 2017.
  • Paul Archer, CEO of independent superyacht management company, Arrow Services Monaco, who will be at the conference again in 2017 as a special guest and delegat

The conference will also see the presentation of the independent Economic Impact Study into the Australian superyacht industry, funded with the support of the Queensland Government, which will quantify the actual value of the industry and its untapped potential.

Member registration for the conference is $395 excluding GST while non-members pay $595 excluding GST. Accommodation at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort from Sunday 21 May to Wednesday 24 May has been secured at the special conference rate of $199 including GST per night.

Registration includes the two days of the conference, all social and networking events, and the Gala Dinner incorporating the 2017 Australian Marine Industry Awards on Tuesday 23 May.
