Pilot Saloon 48

The Wauquiez’ style, well known for its refinement and sobriety, reflects a certain idea of the French elegance. Though the waxed teak used on all Wauquiez remains the dominant interior feature, other materials (leather, stainless steel) are added in order to embellish the interiors.

The heir of a long lineage of top-of-the-range cruisers, the Pilot Saloon 48 incorporates all the ‘’Pilot Saloon’’ hallmark features:  single level saloon offers great panoramic sea views, sailing performances, widely above a classic cruiser, comfortable interior lay-out, optimized for long-term use, high quality of construction and the great attention to detail.

Many other evolutions have been enhanced regarding the overall deck lay-out, sail plan, interior design and furnishing.

Pilot Saloon 48

A “REAL” LOUNGE DECK – Offshore cruiser par excellence, the Pilot Saloon 48 is the epitome of all the expertise of the yard Wauquiez in the design and manufacture of naval luxury. The concept of “Pilot Saloon”, launched by Henri Wauquiez there are more than twenty years, continues to attract many boaters looking for a versatile boat, suitable for all navigation programs and combining comfort, brightness and performance.

A POWERFUL AND SAFETY IN HULL  – The powerful and versatile hull, is designed to tackle the toughest sea conditions. With a bulb keel of 2.10 meters draft and a mast of over 19.60 meters, the Pilot Saloon 48 is stiff canvas and performance at all speeds.

BRIDGE PLAN ENHANCED – The deckhouse to “strained” lines offer a racy style and provides good visibility to the front of the boat. The deck layout is uncluttered thanks to flush deck hatches and return to the cockpit plays. The cockpit is designed to be practical, safe and comfortable: the helm station includes all necessary assistance to the short-handed navigation (winches well sized and positioned near the helmsman, self-tacking rail integrated optional). The rear skirt turns into a bathing platform and easy access to the tender garage.

A SQUARE WITH VIEWS OF THE WAVES – Faithful to the concept of “real deck saloon”, the square is raised on one level, giving the crew a breathtaking view of the sea. The kitchen corridor has ample storage space and all the comfort needed for long navigation. If the waxed teak used on all Wauquiez remains the predominant woodwork, other materials (leather, stainless steel) offer the Pilot Saloon 48 a decidedly refined and modern style.

COMFORT AND HABITABILITY – The large owner’s cabin at the back, has plenty of storage space and its own bathroom with separate shower. The two double cabins at the front allow you to receive guests with all the comforts expected on a great tradition of sailing. A bathroom is located near the two guest cabins. Both bathrooms are equipped with a white synthetic marble vanity with silky appearance and massive giving a contemporary twist to the whole.
