Beneteau First 30 2025

Beneteau First 30 2025

The 2025 Beneteau First 30 marks a significant evolution in sailing, blending high-performance capabilities with user-friendly design to make planing accessible to a broader range of sailors. Developed in collaboration with Seascape, this model aims to redefine the sailing experience by offering exhilarating speed without compromising comfort or safety.

Design and Performance

Naval architect Samuel Manuard and designer Lorenzo Argento have crafted the First 30 with a focus on simplicity and efficiency. The deck layout is intentionally uncluttered, featuring a backstay and an A-frame with German sheeting to keep the cockpit clear. This design ensures that even at double-digit speeds, the boat remains easy to handle, making high-performance sailing more accessible.

Constructed with a fully cored Vinylester hull and deck, the First 30 achieves a light displacement of approximately 3,150 kg. This lightweight build contributes to its ability to plane quickly and easily, providing sailors with the thrill of speed without the need for a large crew or extensive training.

Interior Comforts

Despite its performance-oriented exterior, the First 30 offers a comfortable and practical interior suitable for extended cruising. The saloon boasts 6 feet of headroom, a fully equipped galley with a gimbaled stove and fridge, a marine head, and two staterooms located forward and aft. Innovative features such as cork flooring, magnetic doors, and ambient lighting enhance the onboard experience.

For those seeking additional amenities, the Premium Pack option includes high-quality upholstery, extra lounge backrests, a chopping board, customisable colours and materials, and mood lighting, allowing owners to tailor the interior to their preferences.

Versatility in Sailing

The First 30 caters to both cruising enthusiasts and competitive sailors by offering two distinct deck layouts. The cruising configuration features generously sized winches for the main and jib sheets, ensuring that sail trimming doesn't require excessive physical effort. Control lines are strategically positioned for easy access, even when the boat is heeled, and the cockpit floor remains free of obstructions.

For racing aficionados, the racing layout adds a mainsail traveler and additional trim controls, creating a familiar workspace that meets the demands of competitive sailing. This flexibility allows the First 30 to transition seamlessly between leisurely cruises and spirited races.

Affordability and Accessibility

One of the standout features of the First 30 is its competitive pricing. With a base price expected to be around AUD$325,000, Beneteau aims to make high-performance sailing more attainable. This approach reflects a commitment to bringing more people into the sailing community by offering a boat that combines speed, comfort, and affordability.

The 2025 Beneteau First 30 is poised to set a new standard in the sailing world by delivering the joy of planing to a wider audience. Its thoughtful design, versatile configurations, and emphasis on both performance and comfort make it a compelling choice for sailors looking to elevate their on-water experiences.
